Many people who buy POSITIVE PET DEODORANT use it for an ongoing problem (e.g. cat's litterbox, a puppy or
elderly pet that makes mistakes on the carpet, a smoker in the house). However some
of our customers need a quart of POSITIVE
PET DEODORANT with only one specific use in
mind. After treating that one-time problem, you may have some of this concentrated
product left. |

Over the years, we have found additional ways
to use our product, and customers have passed along ideas, too. In addition to the
information on our POSITIVE PET
DEODORANT page, here are
some other ideas to improve the quality of your living space.
Additional
Uses
for Positive Deodorant
|
Kitchen: |
Mist 2-3 sprays after preparing
strong-smelling foods. Pour 1 oz. down disposals to keep them smelling fresh.
Lingering smells from spoiled food in the refrigerator can be treated by washing interior
with a mixture of 1 oz. Positive Deodorant in 1 gallon mild, soapy water. |
|
|
Garbage: |
Spray inside of kitchen garbage
containers. Spray on Styrofoam used to package meat before discarding; spray empty
cans of seafood, cat food, etc. before discarding. Spray plastic curbside trash cans
and recycling containers with concentrate or wash inside with 2 oz. per gallon soapy
water. |
|
|
Bathroom: |
Mist 2-3 sprays as needed. Where
drains have "sour" smell, pour in 1 or 2 oz. (Note: To prevent sewer
gas buildup where drains are infrequently used, it is advisable to pour in 2 quarts water
per month.) When hot, humid weather causes condensation outside toilet tanks, that
area can smell "funny"; sponge outside of tank and stool with a small amount. |
|
|
A/C & Heating: |
Mist 2-3 sprays on AC and furnace filters
before first use of the season, when house has been closed for lengthy time, or when
smokers have visited. Can lightly mist individual registers that may have an odor
or where pets have urinated in floor register. (Hint: If litterbox is located
near air conditioner or furnace air intake, that smell will circulate through house.) |
|
|
Laundry: |
Add 1-2 oz. when washing materials that
pets have been on, or when clothes have come in contact with something smelly or have
mildew odor. |
|
|
Pets: |
Spray concentrate lightly on pet bedding,
or wherever pets sleep. Mix 1-2 oz. in pet's bath water. (When spraying on
bedding or litterbox, keep cats away until Positive Deodorant dries. Do NOT spray on
cats. Do NOT spray birds. Avoid spraying dog's face area.)
Used by veterinarians. |
|
|
Cars: |
Mist lightly (2-3 sprays) to eliminate
smoke and food smells. Use syringe to inject product in seat cushions where takeout
food or other messes have penetrated. Used by auto detailing shops. |
|
|
Basement: |
Where wet basement/mildew problems exist,
add 3-4 oz. per gallon of soapy water and mop concrete to penetrate and neutralize mildew
odors. May lightly spray exposed wood joists. Treat a different section
of wood each day where there is no ventilation available, to allow adequate
dissipation. (Note: If wet basement problems are not fixed, odor can return.) |
For room spraying, lightly mist
2-4 times per average sized room.
This allows POSITIVE
PET DEODORANT to properly disperse in air.
Always spray full strength.
Remember: Many odors will intensify during warm, humid weather. |
MONEY BACK GUARANTEE:
Neutralizes any animal odor on
contact, permanently.
